Pangong ఇండియా & చైనా

👉 India and China have completed disengagement on both banks of Pangong Tso in eastern Ladakh.

👉 Talks between both the militaries to discuss pullbacks from other friction areas- Gogra, Hot Springs and Depsang Plains.

👉 India will be monitoring the regions by using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and cameras installed at several locations.

Pangong Tso/Lake

👉 Situated at a height of almost 4,350m- world’s highest saltwater lake.

👉 Extending almost 160km- one-third lies in India and the other two-thirds in China.

Pangong Tso- means “high grassland lake”.

👉 Known to change colors, appearing blue, green and red at different times.

👉 India and China have unsettled borders- different perceptions on Pangong Tso.

👉 North bank of Pangong Tso- eight major fingerlike spurs- perceived Chinese and Indian LACs are between Finger 4 and Finger 8.

Ongoing issue:

👉 In May 2020, China occupied this disputed area, deployed troops on Finger 4, and blocked Indian troops, which used to earlier patrol the areas up to Finger 8.

👉 Resulted in the standoff between two armiessimilar fight in Galwan Valley along the LAC.

 👉 ప్రపంచంలోని ఎత్తైన ఉప్పునీటి సరస్సు దాదాపు 4,350మీటర్ల ఎత్తులో ఉంది.

👉భారతదేశంలో దాదాపు 160కి.మీ- మూడింట ఒక వంతు అబద్ధాలు, రెండో వంతు చైనాలో ఉన్నాయి.

 👉 పాంగోంగ్ త్సో- అంటే “ఎత్తైన గడ్డి భూముల సరస్సు”.

👉వేర్వేరు సమయాల్లో నీలం, ఆకుపచ్చ మరియు ఎరుపు రంగులలో కనిపించే రంగులను మార్చడానికి పిలుస్తారు.

👉భారతదేశం మరియు చైనా పరిష్కరించని సరిహద్దులను కలిగి ఉన్నాయి- పాంగోంగ్ త్సోపై భిన్నమైన అవగాహన.

👉పాంగోంగ్ త్సో యొక్క ఉత్తర బ్యాంక్- ఎనిమిది ప్రధాన వేలిలాంటి స్పర్స్- గ్రహించిన చైనీస్ మరియు భారతీయ LAC లు ఫింగర్ 4మరియు ఫింగర్ 8మధ్య ఉన్నాయి.

 కొనసాగుతున్న సమస్య:

👉 మే 2020లో, చైనా ఈ వివాదాస్పద ప్రాంతాన్ని ఆక్రమించింది, ఫింగర్ 4పై దళాలను మోహరించింది మరియు భారత దళాలను నిరోధించింది, ఇది ఫింగర్ 8వరకు గతంలో పెట్రోలింగ్ చేసేది.

👉ఎల్‌ఐసి వెంట గాల్వన్ వ్యాలీలో జరిగిన రెండు ఆర్మీసిమిలార్ పోరాటాల మధ్య వివాదానికి దారితీసింది.
